11/3/17 – A NEW FINAL UPDATE – 2 SPOTS AVAILABLE!

Following a monumental error by the organiser, the Tournament has had to be re-formatted. A last minute request to NHL HQ has resulted in the introduction of the Flyers in to today’s tournament making the event an 8 team tournament.

This means we have 2 last-minute spots available on the Draft Roster and we have extended the entry limit by 2 places so if you want to get involved just sign-up below before 9am and we will include you in the revised NHL Entry Draft! These two places are being made for by the organiser as a fine for messing-up the draft!

A Revised team list will be published on the Documents page at 9am. See you at 1:30pm tomorrow.

Some other information for parents:

Lammas is in Nottinghamshire (M1 Junction 28 is 10 mins from the rink.)
Lammas is a small ice rink 36m x 18m and is perfect for U9’s hockey.
There is a Cafe in Lammas but the food selection is limited and so parents are advised to bring a packed lunch.
The Tournament is a “Draft” event which means that players are drafted to NHL teams for the duration of the event.
Player registration will open at 1:30pm and close at 2:15pm
On ice games start at 2:30pm
Teams will play minimum of four games
Teams will consist of 2 lines of either 4 or 5 players
Teams will be drafted to provide equal strength rosters

We have one place for one more goalie this will ensure we have 7 teams.

A bigger issue is that we awaiting payments from a considerable number. I will hold open your place for another 24 hours to allow those that have not yet paid to make their payment. Can you please take this notice as a final reminder folks?

3/3/17 UPDATE – 2 GOALIES NEEDED!

Folks, we have just prepared the list of players for the 2nd NHL Tournament and we need two more goalies. Please note that all of the player places have been taken although I note that a number of players have indicated their intention to attend although for the last event they did not turn-up.

In order to ensure that we have a full “roster” we would be obliged if you could make your payment of the £10 fee by 3pm tomorrow. I know this is a little earlier than first notified but with the event being over-subscribed we would like to ensure that we eliminate the “no-shows” so that the teams are at even strength which will make for a better Tournament experience for the kids.

If you are unable to make the payment by 3pm on Friday then please let us know otherwise we will release your place to any reserve list players.

Our 2nd All Star Tournament takes place on Saturday 11th March 2017 and once again we will be hosted by Sutton at the Lammas Leisure Centre, Sutton-in-Ashfield.

The event will follow a League and Knock-out format and we are now inviting applications from players wishing to be included in the draft.

There are some RULES attached to your application. YOU MUST COMPLETE ALL OF THE RSVP QUESTIONS OTHERWISE YOUR APPLICATION WILL BE REJECTED. You are advised to complete the application using your PC, laptop or tablet as some mobile phones are hard to follow. The reason being is that if you do not answer the questions then we can not complete the draft selection process.

If you are applying for more than one player then you need to use separate email addresses for each player. This is a TeamApp issue which we can not work around at this time.

Places are limited to 70 players and 7 netminders.
The fee for the event will be £10 and due to a number of players failing to attend the last event the fee will need to be paid by Bank Transfer in advance on 6th March. Payment details will be released once the Draft Roster has been finalised.
