Ben Pitchley has been re-appointed as head coach for the England National Team Programme (ENTP).

EIHA Director for England, Charles Dacres, confirmed the appointment after the recent Conference tournament in Sheffield, where England U19 regained the Frank Dempster Trophy.

Dacres said: “We are really pleased to have Ben once again leading our national team programme.

“The ENTP is rapidly becoming another jewel in the EIHA crown and we have Ben to thank for this.

“Ben has a wealth of experience both as a coach and player, and has a real passion for the game and believes in the development of young people. This is reflected in the plans and opportunities he creates for young players to pursue.

“Ben has an amazing skill set which we intend to utilise at every opportunity. Once the reorganisation has been finalised he will be forging links with the Great Britain programme to ensure that our talented young people can secure a future in the sport providing to platform for achievement and excellence not just in the sport but in life.

“I am really looking forward to working with him and his team.”

Coach Pitchley added: “Obviously I’m over the moon with this re-appointment.

“After 3 years at the head of the ENTP I’m really pleased to be allowed to continue with the proven player pathway we have in place.

“I’d like to thank the Board and Charles for having the faith to let me develop the next generation of GB players, for both the men’s and the women’s programme.

“This programme just gets better and better each season, and we will continue to improve the end result through the coaching and management teams we have in place throughout the England age groups.”

Look out for more news from the ENTP over the coming days.
